Yo y mi locura

I used to be afraid... Afraid of living on the edge, afraid of new people coming into my life. Afraid of being alone. Afraid of being. Now, I push myself far away and beyond. "if you're not living on the edge, then you're taking too much room". My scream that declares war. War to mediocrity. War to being Afraid. War to ignorance. War to not trying. I've been liberated from my complex. My Direction is always up. My Dream is to fly. And I won't be coming down anytime soon.

I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That's it. No big deal. Just three stories. The first story is about connecting the dots. I dropped out of Reed College after the first 6 months, but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before I really quit. So why did I drop out? It started before I was born. My biological mother was a young, unwed college graduate student, and she decided to put me up for adoption. She felt very strongly that I should be adopted by college graduates, so everything was all set for me to be adopted at birth by a lawyer and his wife. Me han preguntado que cual es la meta suprema de mi existencia, me he quedado sin palabras unos segundos y luego de pensarlo un rato (pues aunque tengo mis metas claras, luego de alcanzarlas, que haré?) llegue a la razon mas esencial del ser humano... ayudar. si, ayudar a otros a alcanzar sus metas y sueños. Ayudar a educar jovenes con principios y objetivos. Ayudar a crear arte, tecnologia y marcar nuestra cultura. Ayudar a otros a entender que hay personas que necesitan ayuda; que existen comunidades olvidadas por nuestros gobiernos y conciudadanos.
